“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

I’ve always tried to weave gratitude into my life with things ranging from imperative to trivial–from my two daughters who hold my heart, to the smell of morning coffee. Although I’ve probably missed some days, whether it was because I was too tired that morning or too busy that night, I thought as the year nears its end, this was a perfect time for putting the excuses aside and reflect on the past year.

Simply put, I’m thankful for the twists and turns along the way. After all, if it hadn’t, I wouldn’t have some of the amazing people I have in my life, and I wouldn’t have the opportunity to retell some of the experiences I have had.

To my colleagues, I thank you for your unwavering commitment to our firm and your tireless energy in serving our clients. We couldn’t accomplish what we do without the cohesive teamwork we have, so thank you for making that possible. In 2018 our team continued to grow, which gave us the ability to add four new clients and make a bigger impact on sectors like commercial transactions. I hope to continue to grow in 2019, which will enable us to help more clients get the justice they deserve no matter what sector.

To my clients, I thank you for allowing me to serve you and your businesses and perhaps make your lives a little better by getting you the justice you deserve. We are committed to doing the research needed to win your case, allowing you to get back to your lives and focus on what you do best.

As I’m sure you know, insurance fraud, whether it be auto, medical or individual, is an insidious problem throughout the United States. According to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, insurance fraud costs Americans at least $80 billion a year. New Yorkers alone lose millions of dollars each year to fraud. In 2019 we hope to continue to be vigilant in curbing that cost and defying the growing trend. We’re up for the challenge!

So, on behalf of BG&S, we wish you a happy and healthy new year! If we can help make your new year a little brighter, let us know!

With warm regards,

Vince Gerbino
