Alyssa M. Brown

 

Alyssa M. Brown is a recent graduate of New York Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2023 with a focus on intellectual property, commercial law, and in-house counsel practice. She is driven by a passion for the intersection of law, media, and technology, with a growing interest in corporate governance, data privacy, and legal issues impacting the fashion and entertainment industries.

 

While at New York Law School, Alyssa was an active member of the Legal Association for Women and the Media, Entertainment, and Fashion Law Association. She also served on the Symposium Committee in 2022, helping to organize academic events and foster dialogue on emerging legal issues.

 

Alyssa’s professional experience spans both corporate and pro bono sectors. She recently worked as an Accounts Receivable Coordinator at Health Extension LLC, where she managed financial systems and optimized collections and reconciliation processes. She previously contributed to the NYLS–Venable Summer Associate Simulation Program, conducting in-depth research and drafting memoranda on corporate and cybersecurity matters. Alyssa also volunteered with a New York-based asylum law clinic, assisting clients with I-589 asylum applications.

 

She holds a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Sacred Heart University, where she was an honors student and deeply involved in student life, including leadership in Delta Zeta Sorority. Her undergraduate studies also included an international academic experience at Pandit Deendayal Energy University in India. Outside of her legal work, Alyssa enjoys practicing yoga, reading novels, weightlifting, and hiking with her dog. She is also learning French.
