Alfred C. Polidore Profile & Experience

 

Alfred C. Polidore earned his Juris Doctorate degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1978. He received his undergraduate training and degree at Fordham University, where he graduated in 1975 with a B.A. in Political Science. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1979. He was also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

 

While awaiting admission to the New York State Bar, Mr. Polidore became an associate in the Legal Department of Carvel Corporation, Yonkers, New York, where he handled various matters concerning the corporation and its franchisees, including protection of copyrights, real estate, landlord and tenant and defense of the corporation in an anti-trust suit commenced by the New York State Attorney General’s Office.

 

After leaving Carvel Corporation, Mr. Polidore became associated with a litigation firm that specialized in personal injury litigation, subrogation actions, and the general commercial practice of law.

 

Prior to becoming a Member of Tell, Cheser & Breitbart, LLP. Mr. Polidore worked at the firm as an associate and was actively involved in the heaviest cases being handled by the firm in first party insurance claims and rights, general liability defense, and subrogation matters. Mr. Polidore has extensive experience conducting examinations under oath, depositions, providing coverage/legal opinions for a variety of insurance related issues, and in alternative dispute resolution forums. He is an experienced trial lawyer, as well as an accomplished appellate lawyer, and has argued appeals before the New York Court of Appeals, the highest court in the state.
